BATTLE MINES



In Battle Mines there are several titles that you can earn.

Special Titles

Master of Battle Mines

  • This is awarded to the #1 ranked player.
    1. When this player is logged on “Master of Battle Mines is here” will also be posted in the communications page.
    2. Overrides “Offical Mascot of Battle Mines”

Official Mascot of Battle Mines

  • One of only three titles given to specific players, the other two being Saviour of Battle Mines and Benedict Arnold (see directly below). This title was lost by Nanich following his betrayal of the Tower of Escher to the World Police. Nanich regained this title a month after his infamous defection.

Saviour of Battle Mines

  • Special, thus far singular title awarded to those who provide hosting to Battle Mines at a time of critical server load. See Gigantor.

Benedict Arnold

  • A thus far unique title for a deceitful traitor, given to Nanich as a replacement for Official Mascot of Battle Mines shortly following certain notably mercenary acts. This title is no longer held by anyone.

Global Leader Titles

Global Leader

  • Awarded to the #1 ranked player.
    1. Gains access to Leaders radio channel.
    2. Gains the ability to offer trades globally.

Speaker for the Senate

  • Three times a week there is a vote for Speaker of the Senate.
    1. Gains extra votes to influence senate issues.
    2. Gains the ability to offer trades globally.
    3. Unlimited posts in the public radio channel.
    4. Speaker of the Senate may not be a governmental leader.
    5. May Private Message anyone in the game.

Overseer of the Land

  • Awarded to the player with the largest monument in the game.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. Gains the ability to offer trades globally.

Master Builder

  • Awarded to the player how has built the most monuments in the game.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. Gains the ability to offer trades globally.

Watcher in the Deep

  • Leadership title given to the player with the most Palantirs.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. Gains the ability to offer trades globally.

Diabolical Machine Titles

Keeper of the Peace

  • Players at tech level 14 minimum who have not started work on any diabolical machinery.

Mad with Power

  • Awarded to anyone who has started a Doomsday Device.

Bent on World Destruction

  • Awarded to anyone who has a highly developed Doomsday Device (80-85%).

Sower of Discord

  • Awarded to a player who has set off a Doomsday Device.

Purveyor of Peril

  • Awarded to a player who has set off two Doomsday Devices. Replaces Sower of Discord.

Harbinger of Doom

  • Awarded to a player who has set off three Doomsday Devices. Replaces Purveyor of Peril.

Somewhat Eccentric

  • Awarded to a player who has started working on a Scrambler.

Scrambling for Glory

  • Awarded to a player who has a Scrambler above 75% completion.

  • Awarded to a player who has detonated a Scrambler.

  • Awarded to a player who has detonated two Scramblers. Replaces “eating scrambled eggs”.

Government Leader Titles

Leader of Syndicalism

  • The highest ranked player of the Syndicalism government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Leader of Bureaucracy

  • The highest ranked player of the Bureaucracy government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Leader of Technocracy

  • The highest ranked player of the Technocracy government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Leader of Theocracy

  • The highest ranked player of the Theocracy government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Leader of Fascism

  • The highest ranked player of the Fascism government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Leader of Monarchy

  • The highest ranked player of the Monarchy government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Leader of Democracy

  • The highest ranked player of the Democracy government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Representative of Anarchy

  • The highest ranked player of the Anarchy government.
    1. Gains access to the Leaders radio channel.
    2. is a governmental leader and may trade with all players with the same government type.

Combat and Vassal Related Titles

beaten and bruised

  • Possibly a title for the player with the most losses.

Scourge Unto Us All

  • Awarded to players with 7 or more vassals.

Grim Reaper

  • Awarded to a player with at least 4 vassals, but less than 7.

Bloodthirsty Warmonger

  • Awarded to a player with more than one vassal, but less than four.

Conquering Hero

  • Has a Current Vassal Score of one.

Lord High Executioner

  • Probably a title referring to the player with the highest Most Vassals score (alternatively, the most wins).

Pure and Innocent

  • Awarded to players who have never been in battle.

A Feisty Scrapper

  • Awarded to players who fight aggressive wars in their first 7 days of play.

Junior Strategist

  • Awarded to players with a win ratio in the range of 0.65 to 0.75.

Brilliant Strategist

  • Awarded to players with a win ratio in the range of 0.76 to 0.85.

Strategist Supreme

  • Awarded to players with a win ratio of 0.86 or higher.

Student of the Flame

  • An ardent pyrotechnician, that is, someone who sets off numerous large fireworks displays by defeating high-profile opponents.

Disciple of Fire

  • A player who has set off even more and greater fireworks displays than a Student of the Flame.

Age and Activity-based Titles

deep in slumber

  • The player is long idle.

A Newcomer to this Realm

  • For players under 7 days of age.

A Grizzled Veteran of Yore

  • Truly ancient players, who are at least 90% of the age of the game itself.

A Veteran of Yore

  • Quite decrepit players, with an age equal to or greater than x*0.8, where x is the age of Battle Mines.

A Veteran of Antiquity

  • These players are beginning to show their age, having been around for 70% of Battle Mines' history.

A Veteran of Long Ago

  • These players are merely a bit long in the tooth, surpassing the 60% mark.

A Veteran of Old

  • Don't be fooled. These guys aren't really that old. They've been around for half of the age of Battle Mines.

A Grizzled Bolshevik of Yore

  • A Communist version of the above.

A Bolshevik of Yore

  • Ditto.

A Bolshevik of Antiquity

  • Ditto.

A Bolshevik of Long Ago

  • And ditto.

A Bolshevik of Old

  • Et cetera.

Other Titles

Farmer

  • A title that replaces your government rank, i.e. 'Farmer Rasteroid', awarded to the player with the most food.

Chief Inspector

  • A title that replaces your government rank, i.e. 'Chief Inspector Rasteroid', awarded to the player with the most spies.

"Deadeye"

  • A title that precedes the player name but coexists with government rank, i.e. 'Chairman “Deadeye” Rasteroid', awarded to the player with the greatest quality and quantity of roamer kills.

Spewer of Smog

  • Awarded to the player(s) with the most pollution.

Toxic Avenger

  • Awarded to the player(s) with the most fallout.

Captain of Industry

  • Awarded to the player(s) with the largest hull, that is, the most hull upgrades.

Antisocialite

  • Awarded to players with closed borders.

Lord of the Land

  • Awarded to members of the highest-ranking faction.

Seeker of Balance

  • Title for the player with the most draws.

Adventurer Extraordinaire

  • Title given to someone who has disappeared into uncharted waters.

Befouler of the Earth

  • Awarded to players running laissez-faire industry, and possibly also requiring an unknown pollution threshold.

Guardian of the Earth

  • Generally associated with low pollution and green industry.

sitting in an orchard

  • Player has the maximum number of trees allowed on a tile.
