BATTLE MINES

Fireworks

After any combat that is not a draw, fireworks will be set off by someone in the Battle Mines universe.

The impressiveness of the fireworks depends on the rank of the victor relative to the rank of the loser. A low-ranked player defeating a high-ranked player will cause a more impressive display of fireworks. In addition, some factors affect fireworks as multipliers:

  • There is a x2 multiplier for each combat participant who is a Leader, unless they happen to be the Global Leader, in which case the multiplier is x3.
  • There is another multiplier equal to the cube root of the total number of buildings destroyed in combat. (More damage to either side, bigger fireworks. Also, local warfare carries the potential for much more overall damage, making its fireworks larger.)
  • There is a x1.5 multiplier on official Battle Mines holidays.
  • There is a x1.1 multiplier if the governments of the warring states hate one another.

Minor fireworks will be visible only to the participants of combat, and sometimes not even to them, but large displays will be visible globally. There are titles for ardent pyrotechnicians.
